Comsys: active filtering of voltage and current
Comsys is a Swedish manufacturer, founded in 2001, specialising in active dynamic filters for improving power quality in industrial installations. With ADF Power Tuning, the company develops systems that reduce harmonics, compensate reactive power and actively correct grid disturbances.
The filters are used in installations where power electronics such as frequency converters and rectifiers cause distortion. By actively correcting current and voltage distortion, reducing harmonics and optimising the cos φ, grid load is reduced, the risk of unwanted shutdowns is minimised and compliance with grid operator requirements is supported to avoid penalties.
